One pan sweet and salty chicken
METHOD:
Serving suggestion: salad, sweet potatoes, roasted asparagus and zucchini.
- Combine the apple cider vinegar, tamari, maple syrup and ground pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
- Pat dry the chicken thighs with paper towel. Season generously with salt.
- Heat the oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.
- When the oil is shimmering, add the chicken. Cook for 3-4 minutes until brown and crispy, then turn and do the same on the other side.
- Carefully pour over the maple syrup mixture and bring it to a boil.
- Turn down the heat to a simmer and let the maple syrup mixture reduce, flipping the chicken thighs every minute or so to ensure they remain completely coated in the glaze.
- When the chicken thighs are cooked through and the maple mixture is thick and syrupy, remove the chicken from the heat and serve immediately.
