No self-respecting hostess in the 60s and 70s had pre-dinner drinks without these!
Makes 12. Easy to double, triple, etc.

Savoury cheese balls

INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 & ½ packs (250g each) brick Cream Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh rosemary
  • ¼ cup finely chopped dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoons finely chopped pecans
METHOD:
  1. Cut cream cheese into 6 pieces and roll each into a ball
  2. Combine sesame seeds, poppy seeds and half the garlic in a small bowl
  3. Mix herbs and remaining garlic in a separate small bowl
  4. Combine cranberries and nuts in a third bowl
  5. Roll 2 cheese balls in sesame seed mixture, 2 cheese balls in herb mixture and remaining cheese balls in the nut mixture.
 
Serve with your choice of crackers and fresh vegetable sticks.
