Sticky ginger lime chicken
Serves : 4 › Preparation: 20 mins › Cook: 10 mins
1/3 cup (80ml) honey 2 tbspns oyster sauce 1 tbspn lime juice 5cm piece (25gms) fresh ginger, peeled and finely grated 2 cloves garlic, crushed 1/4 cup water 2 tbspns peanut oil 8x125g chicken thigh fillets, trimmed and cut into strips 1 lime thinly sliced 600gms gai larn (Chinese broccoli) chopped and blanched Shredded green onion and steamed rice to serve |
Place the honey, oyster sauce, lime juice, ginger, garlic and water in a bowl and mix to combine. Set aside.
Heat oil in a large wok or non-stick frypan over high heat. Add the chicken and cook in batches for 6 minutes or until cooked through.
Add the honey mixture and lime slices and bring to the boil. Cook for 2-4 minutes or until thickened slightly.
Arrange the gai larn on a plate and top with the chicken and green onion. Spoon over the pan sauce and serve with rice.
