Banana Skins
High in potassium, phosphorus, and calcium, banana peels are great for flowering and fruiting plants. All you have to do is bury a peel under the ground. Make sure it is at the base of the plant, and allow it to decompose. Another way is to freeze overripe bananas and then bury next to a needy plant when required. If you prefer to make a spray, soak a peel in water for 2-3 days, then use the water to spray plants or seedlings.
You can also ‘roast’ banana peels in the oven until they are charred. When cooled, break them into pieces and pop them in the soil of your house plants.
