Suleiman the Magnificent, known more formally as Suleiman I, or Suleiman the Lawgiver, was the tenth Sultan of the Ottoman Empire. His reign spanned 45 years, from 1520-66, and he oversaw a crucial era of the Ottoman Empire’s history in the mid-sixteenth century.  But was he magnificent? Judge for yourself HERE.
