Food, food, food

This scented jam is perfect for bread spread, cake filling, or even as a topping over yoghurt. It's a very simple edible flower and treat yourself to some indulgent floral fun that is not just simple but also an excellent way to retain the flavours of summer. In addition, the pretty pink hue will make your eyes feel like feasting.

Rose Petal Jam

INGREDIENTS: 
  • 2 cups of fresh, organic rose petals, pesticide-free!
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

METHOD:
  1. Wash the rose petals and dry them.
  2. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring till the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the rose petals, and lemon juice, and simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the petals appear translucent.
  4. Let the jam cool, then store it in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator.
