Decorate to suit – be as playful with your ‘flower’ craft as you wish!
Flower Bread
INGREDIENTS:
½ cups (360 ml) warm water
1 tbsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
4 cups (480 g) flour
1 tsp salt
¼ cup (60 ml) olive oil
METHOD:
Mix 1½ cups (360 ml) warm water, 1 tbsp dry yeast, and 1 tsp sugar together, let sit 10 mins.
In a bowl, mix 4 cups (480 g) flour and 1 tsp salt. Add yeast mix and ¼ cup (60 ml) olive oil.
Knead into a soft dough, cover, let rise 1 hr.
Press into oiled tray, rest 20 mins.
Decorate with cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, red onion, olives, parsley, and green onions as flowers.
Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle salt & pepper. Bake at 200°C (390°F) for 25–30 mins
Serve warm.
