Pineapple Spinach Green Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: Makes 1
  • 2/3 cup low-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 1 ripe banana, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach, tightly packed
  • 1/4-1/2 cup apple juice or skim milk
  • Ice optional
METHOD:
Place all ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. If using frozen fruit, you'll probably need to use 1/2 cup liquid instead of just 1/4.

​Strawberry Spinach Green Smoothie

INGREDIENTS: Makes 2
  • 1 1/2 very ripe bananas, peeled, diced and frozen
  • 170g/ 6oz fresh strawberries, hulled (about 8 - 9 medium)
  • 2 mandarin oranges, peeled and halved
  • 3 cups tightly packed baby spinach
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 cup ice
METHOD:
Add bananas, strawberries, oranges, spinach, water and half of the ice to a blender. Blend until combined then add remaining ice and blend until smoothie is well pureed. Serve immediately.
